Jersey offers a comprehensive, UK Standardised Immunisation Schedule for all children. This is regularly reviewed to give the best, current vaccinations and protection.
The vaccination schedule starts at 8 weeks, and continues at 12 weeks, 16 weeks, and 12/13 months and ends with Pre-school Immunisations at 3 years and 4 months. We are proud and fully able to offer this service at the surgery with our nursing colleagues.
All appointments are free of charge to families with a valid Jersey Health Card. You will be routinely notified by the Child Health Department when to make these appointments, and given a reminder phone call from our vaccination coordinator. If you have any concerns regarding these vaccinations, please feel free to discuss them either with the Nurse or the Doctor. We encourage all our newborns to have these vaccinations in order to give the best protection and start in life for common diseases such as Hepatitis B, Meningitis, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping cough), Measles, Rubella, Pneumonia and Rotavirus.
