Rui was trained In Portugal and has a Nursing degree from Escola Superior de Enfermagem São José de Cluny, Funchal – Madeira (Portugal).

He decided to move to Jersey in 2014 where he worked in the Emergency Department at the Jersey General Hospital for 9 years.

Rui has experience and skills in emergency care, medical, surgical, and polytrauma areas in the adult and paediatric field with a combined practice of 20 years in Portugal, the UK and Jersey.

In his free time, he enjoys reading, riding his Vespa and doing walks with his wife. He is passionate about technology and loves travelling to discover new cultures and food.
